Over 40 years of dedication

RHA is a local charity dedicated to giving families in hardship the chance to enjoy a short UK holiday. Since the 1980s, we’ve supported those affected by poverty, illness, and bereavement—providing a vital break when it’s needed most.

"One small holiday, leaves a big impact."

Our History

RHA is a local charity with a proud history of bringing joy and relief to families in Rotherham. Since the early 80s, we’ve helped those on the lowest incomes—including families facing illness, disability, or bereavement—enjoy short UK holiday breaks, often their first in years. Through partnerships with organisations like the Family Holiday Charity, we create opportunities for rest, happiness, and togetherness. As demand grows amid the cost-of-living crisis, our commitment remains strong: to give families hope and cherished memories for the future.

Why Rotherham?

Rotherham is a proud community with a strong spirit, working hard to overcome social challenges. While some areas face economic and health difficulties, regeneration is bringing new opportunities through investment in skills, business growth, and infrastructure. Community projects like Rotherham Holiday Aid ensure families can share in this progress, offering support and hope for a brighter future.

Hear from those we've helped
“We are so grateful to have been given this holiday. It came at a time when we were all feeling low—we had lost our home, the children were not seeing their dad, and being able to spend time away having fun really took our minds off things and improved our mental health all around.”

Aisha Khan

“Thank you so much for this holiday. My daughter, having been through a pretty tough time, enjoyed herself, and the smile on her face was priceless.”

Maria Rodriguez

“We made new friends, we had a laugh, and spent time doing things we never get the chance to do. Thank you so much. This holiday was just what we both needed.”
